This year, Michael and I decided to go beyond the everyday granny squares to make Project Linus the most fun yet. As part of the classes, we added a twist to the assignment on the ship and that was to create your own amazing borders to each afghan. Once we were all finished, the creativity was OUTSTANDING! It really was the most emotional project we have done so far.
This year being close to Halloween and coming from our trip from Disney, we created the power action afghan for Project Linus. What kid does not like action heroes or Disney or anything imaginative?
Now here is the fun part! Before the cruise we like you to do 4 of these squares plus using your imagination and add a motif that represent power Heroes/Heroines. These squares are big. You can do a lot more squares if you wish. Remember this is about charity and all the finished afghans will go directly to Project Linus. We want you to give your best. Think about favourite heroes/heroines that you family loves. Add a motif or symbol to represent that action.
Looking for ideas, always check the Private Facebook Cruise Page that you have been invited to by Jeanne or Sherry. Having trouble with the pattern, don't be afraid to ask questions. Everyone is there to help. Plus share what you are doing or finished, this helps out everyone to stir up ideas and build this project as a true community effort.
Once we get on the ship we are going to start work on the squares on our first get together in the evening of embarking. So bring them to our evening class.
