Cruising, what fun but I have a lot of questions.
You are ready to book, What happens next?
After You Placed Your Reservations?
Your form will be received by our agent, Sherry. You most likely will receive an auto-responder acknowledging your booking. Check your junk box if you don’t see it in your regular inbox.
Your form is in queue for processing. Even though you have placed your credit card information to secure your reservation. The system doesn’t automatically process your cabin charges. Our agent will personally contact you to verify your details, selections and go through your booking prior to charging anything to your credit card. She will also lock in your booking with the ship.
Absolute phone conversation must be carried before any process can be made through Sherry. Failure to return any of her calls in less then 4 days will result in the cancellation of your form request; As the next person in line will have the ability to get the cruise deals. We book blocks of cabins. Once a block is sold out, we return and request another block of cabins. Cabins pricing will likely go up.
Our agent takes the time with each passenger prior to booking. When we launch a new cruise, she is generally swamped with bookings and can take a few days to get to everyone. Please be patient.
Our group is assigned a dining room time so that we may run our workshops so everyone is present. We choose the early dining. Should you not wish this dining time, you must communicate with our agent, but by changing your dining time, you may be conflicting with our activities.
Once you are booked, we will add you to a private Facebook Group with others who have reserved the same event / cruise. This will allow you to get to know people prior to the event. Please Note: This is our way of communicating any events, tours, and the updates regarding any of the crochet cruises. It is YOUR responsibility to check in on the private Facebook Page, and accept the invitation. We do not send emails simple because in today's day and age, Generally people are getting way to much other junk mail that most just don't bother to open. We get FAR better results in communication on Facebook. Please take notice, only those attending the cruise under our group will be allowed on the Facebook page. We don't make acceptations for those not on Facebook.
If you have any additional questions prior to booking, please contact Sherry at the contact information below.
Stateroom questions, Pricing and Roommates
Review Pricing and Special Offers
Consider the stateroom and review the special offers as certain levels of cabins will get further complimentary deals.
Cabins are sold based on two people. Rates in our forms are based on two people per cabin.
Please note that Sherry has blocked off a certain amount of cabins. Once sold out, she can request more but the price will not be the same
Only 1 Person Per Cabin?
Cruise ships sell cabins based on two people per cabin. For example, if the Cabin is $1000. If traveling solo, the rate of the cabin is nearly doubled. It is more economic to bring someone with you and/or locate a roommate to share a room to split the costs of the cabin.
If you plan on locating a roommate but haven’t found one at the time of making your reservation, you will still be required to pay double the down payment to hold your cabin. If you find a roommate after the fact, Sherry can adjust your cabin pricing to be fair to you and your roommate.
Looking for a Roommate?
We cannot legally get involved in matching roommates together. It is up you to to locate a roommate. Choose your roommate very carefully. If your roommate cancels on you, you either have to find a replacement roommate or pay for an entire cabin on your own or cancel your reservation if you cannot find someone.
More than 2 People per Cabin?
If you have more than 2 passengers per cabin, you need to contact Sherry on the phone to get custom pricing. Sherry must locate you a cabin within your choices to ensure there is enough beds in the cabin. Not all cabins are equal.
If you need a modified cabin, you need to speak with Sherry as she must check the ship to determine if the cabin you are requesting are still available. She must make special arrangements with the ship to secure a modified cabin for you.
When Roommates Have A Disagreement
It is regretful that some roommates may have a disagreement on board the cruise. It’s a cruise and sometimes it’s a long time being with the same person. It’s easy to get on each others nerves.
Give each other some space. Just because you are roommates or may have come together, doesn’t mean that you have to spend every waking moment with the same person. The ship is very large and there is a lot of things happening. Take some “you” time.
We will not get involved or try to counsel roommates while on board. This is up to you to figure it out.
Don't be a Negative Nelly! Behaviour, Respect and Service Beyond our Control
Services Beyond Our Control with the Cruise Ship
Generally, Daniel and I are easy to please and are grateful for the services extended by any crew member of the ship. While we can control what happens in the classroom, we cannot control your experiences of what happens with the rest of your cruise. If you are unhappy with the services extended to you by the cruise line, please go to guest services to resolve your issues. This includes hotel, or any of the tours you may signed up.
Service Dogs, Hearing impaired, Seeing impaired, and Mobility Issues
We do have crocheters that join us with many of these issues. Please respect and give them your understanding. This could include leaving space at the front of the class or room to move around. Likewise for those with any these issues, it is your responsibility if needing help, to speak to one of us and Sherry. BUT Everyone, please don't not be mean about it. Sometimes conversations and enjoyment with fellow crocheters, we can all get wrapped up in the fun and not notice those behind us. A simple smile is all that is needed.
If you allergic to dogs, please bring your medication for such issues, Again we have no control if a service dog will be in our class. The Health and Privacy act, we can not disclose any information. The Cruise line will require strict papers to allow any dogs of such to be on the ship. Please without permission pet the dog. If you are sensitive to dogs for whatever reason, please be an adult and find a place to sit that you feel comfortable with.
Please Respect Privacy
While we are together as a group, remember that each and every person is on board may want some privacy or time to spend on their own. This is after all, your vacation. We have an open policy for the open decks to come and join the group without an invitation required.
If you see crocheters be sure to ask permission before inviting yourself to sit with other crochet cruisers to be respectful. They may want their own personal time and we need to respect that.
Say Hello to Fellow Crochet Cruisers
Our leadership team will try to make great effort to remember all of the passengers. If you are wearing your Crochet Cruiser Lanyard, we will be be able to identify each other much easier.
In the event that we walk by any crochet cruiser without saying hello or offer a genuine smile, it’s not personal. We may have not seen you and/or don’t recognize you. Just simply say hello and our brains will kick in! Remember Friendship have to be earned, they don't develop with just a hello. We are not responsible if you feel left out. it is not fair for us to baby sit you all. We have brought you all together, have some fun and enjoy those you are meeting for the first time.
Cruise lines strongly discourages personal contact with passengers. Example: hugs. Mikey and Diva Dan are fine with hugs from our fans. We encourage people to speak if you wish not to be hugged or personal contact. We will not be offended.
If you are feeling under the weather, please be respectful with the people around you. Coughing or sneezing! Please pretend to be Madam Vampire and cover your mouth by placing your arms over your mouth not your hands.
As always, The Crochet Crowd focuses on positive creativity within our learning environment. It is easy to say something negative but please think before you speak. We all want to have a good time.
Disruptive behavior is behavior which may include speech or actions will result in the removal of a guest from attending any further workshops and events by The Crochet Crowd while on the ship. Actions may include:
OMGOSH, look at all the Yarn, Patterns and Course Materials
Yarn and Course Materials
All yarn and course materials have been carefully chosen and subsidized and/or purchased by The Crochet Cruise through our sponsors. There will be an array of yarns that you may or may not have tried before. The point of The Crochet Cruises is to try new things. If you do not like the yarn, suck it up buttercup!
Patterns on Board
Patterns will be issued with each project. The patterns chosen have been intentionally chosen to educate and learn new techniques or ideas. In certain classes, there will be numerous patterns issued where crocheters can choose the patterns they wish to do. The class may break off into mini groups where a table leader or a crocheter at the table may take the lead in helping with the pattern.
The course materials were subsidized by our sponsors as a gift for those who participate with The Crochet Cruise. You will get yarn to work on the selected projects, crochet hooks, tote bags, pattern books and so much more. We often joke bring an extra suitcase. you might need it.
We have agreed with our sponsors that gifts are to only be given to guests who participate. Participants who attend all of our events will be receiving all of the available course materials. Should a participant miss a class, they will forfeit the course materials allotted for the class. Course materials will not be given out to friends to give to friends who miss the classes.
Please Note: The activity fee includes a portion of the course materials. The activity fee covers administrative fees required to produce this event.
Only registered guests that are crocheting actively with our group will be receiving the course materials.
Guests will forfeit their course materials for the duration of the cruise if they are not participating. Examples include:
- Showing up at the beginning of the class and leaving.
- Showing up but not crocheting or participating with our group.
- Spouses, friends or others sitting quietly who are not crocheting with our group.
- Strict No Soliciting on Board.
Cruise lines have strict ‘no soliciting policy’ in effect on board. You may not approach passengers to solicit, hand out materials or advertise The Crochet Crowd on board. This is for the protection of all passengers and crew members.
Members of The Crochet Cruises who are caught soliciting will be removed for any further activities for the remainder of the cruise and will not be able to cruise with our retreats in future cruises.
We have signed waivers stating that we and none of our guests will be soliciting on board the ship. Our party on board is classified as a private function and not part of the over all ship’s itinerary.
No Additional Seats, inviting someone on the ship to the class
Our assigned group on board is known to the cruise line. You may not invite any non-registered crocheters to be a part of our party while on the cruise. You cannot bring them to our workshops as we are assigned just enough chairs for our party. Like any land event there are the max allowed in any given room. We must repect that.
Cancellations do happen, but here is the reality.
Cancellation Policy Cruise Tickets
The contract made with our agent is a binding contract between you and the cruise line. Please ask about the cancellation policies at the time of booking. Ensure you ask her about the cancellation policies of your cruise tickets at the time of purchase.

In the unfortunate event that you need to cancel or reasons beyond your control. Keep in mind that you still need to contact Sherry Leybovich to cancel your cruise tickets. Photos and Videos, we live in that day and age.
Photos and Videos

No Acceptations will be made. We will be doing live videos and generally sharing through our social media the fun we are all having. It is also at the request of our grateful sponsors.
Free Cruises and other
Free Cruises and/or Subsidized Cruises
The Crochet Cruises do not offer free cruises under any circumstances. We are unable to subsidize any cruise tickets or activity fees. The cruise ticket prices are set by the cruise line. Our activity fee goes towards the expenses of being able to host this event on board the cruise ship.
Transportation, Air flight, so much to think about.
On each of our private Facebook Pages, we list Transportation options. Depending on the cruise line, where and how often, Sherry will do her best to provide buses and shuttles if available.
Generally, Transportation to the hotel is up too you. Now from the Hotel to the port, we will provide a bus (a fee will be applicable). We sometimes will provide a bus from the port to the airport on our last day. Be sure to check in on the private facebook page for all information and sign up if you are needing a ride
